LYNWOOD

 

Well, we both decided to

look on the internet for YMWCH

after being told, their homes were good

and about one, called Lynwood

 

Did some checking, and in fact

told by those at Pontefract

not to be out of luck

and for Lynwood, quickly book

 

A month or two later, at midday

off from Barnsley, we got away

with not a hint of trepidation

with Lynwood being our destination

 

Off to Scarborough by the north sea

and in what area would it be

and indeed, was the case

near Peasholm Park lay our Lynwood base

 

Finding out that the Lynwood team

all work together in this scheme

making sure the proper way

that everyone, will enjoy their stay

 

With the Lynwood ensemble on the ball

no problems whatever, none at all

and not forgetting, not too far

close at hand, was the bar

 

A welcome shelter from any storm

rooms are cosy, comfy and warm

plus, at Lynwood, cabaret

to start the night off, shall we say

 

A hearty breakfast every day

was an excellent start to our day

served in the usual Lynwood style

which always comes with a smile

 

Then at 5.30 evening dinner

Immediately on a winner

With the Lynwood menu on display

And appropriate choices all did say

 

We enjoyed our week there’s no doubt

top notch it is, all throughout

have caught the bug, it’s in the blood

So, we’re booking again for Lynwood
